How to access medical appointments in PAMI

The Comprehensive Medical Care Program (PAMI) in Argentina reminds its members that they should not pay to access the services and benefits it offers. To request an appointment, four steps must be followed. First, an electronic medical order from a primary care doctor or specialist is needed. Then, the provider's information should be searched in the PAMI Directory through the official website. The appointment can be requested by the member or by a trusted person designated. It is important to present on the day of the appointment at the health service with the credential and the national identity document.

Within the PAMI Directory, the member must enter their membership number and DNI number to access the necessary information. Once inside, they will find search options such as by medical service, by professional, by health center, or by proximity. The Medical Directory can also be accessed by selecting the province and city of residence.

PAMI provides its members with direct phone numbers to communicate with representatives, such as the Emergencies number 11 6671-2318 and PAMI Listens 138. Additionally, social media can be used as information channels. PAMI specifies that members can request medical appointments online. For example, a radiology appointment requires an electronic prescription issued by a primary care doctor or specialist, and the appointment can be requested by the member or a trusted person.
